The SAT Question Bank got new questions in August 2026. College Board quietly pushed an update to the official bank. No announcement, no changelog. But we keep a full snapshot of the bank, and when the update landed we diffed it against our copy from March. After filtering out the reshuffles and duplicates, exactly 196 genuinely new math questions were added.
Then we solved all of them on video, in one sitting:
After the update we counted the whole bank against the official tests: the most common SAT Math questions, all 19 skills ranked.
Why New Question Bank Questions Matter More Than Old Ones
The Question Bank is where College Board shows you what it is currently thinking. When they add material, it reflects the style of question they are writing now: the phrasings, the setups, the traps they currently like. Practicing the newest official material is the closest thing you can get to previewing the flavor of your actual test.
The new batch is also material almost nobody has seen. The old bank questions have been circulating in prep circles for years. These have not, which makes them a genuinely clean read on whether you can handle an unfamiliar question, the exact skill the real test measures.
How to Use the Video
Do not watch 196 solutions in a row. Work the questions yourself first in the Question Bank, which is free on College Board's site, and come to the video for the ones that beat you. What you should be stealing is the recognition: the moment in each solution where the setup becomes a known move. That loop, miss it, learn the move, repeat the type, is the entire engine behind the 800 plan. And if you want the recurring hard types beyond this batch, we cut the 20 hardest Advanced Math questions and the 12 hardest algebra questions into their own solved collections.
Practice Our Versions Without Burning the Originals
There is a catch with official questions: each one can only measure you once. The second time you see it, you are testing your memory, not your math.
So we built the New Additions section on Sigma Prep. Every one of the 196 new questions has our own versions of it, three fresh variations per question, same skill and same difficulty with new numbers and new context. Work the official one, and when you miss it, drill our variations until the type is automatic. That way the original stays a clean measurement and you still get the reps.
If the new questions exposed a formula or concept you did not have cold, it is on the SAT Math formula sheet: 24 diagrams, each one solved on a real question, free.
