Is UWorld worth it for SAT Math? UWorld is a question bank for the whole SAT, about 2,000 questions with written explanations, at roughly $99 a month. Sigma Prep is Math only, $49 a month, with 7,000+ Math problems, a video walkthrough on every one, and 24 full-length Math tests. If you need Reading and Writing practice in the same tool, UWorld. If Math is the section you are trying to move, Sigma Prep gives you more of it for less.

We build Sigma Prep. The UWorld numbers below come from their site and current reviews as of September 2026; their plans change, so verify before you buy.

Where UWorld wins

Both sections in one subscription, a polished Bluebook-style interface, and detailed written rationales, which some students prefer to video. If your Reading and Writing needs as much work as your Math, that matters.

Where Sigma Prep wins

Math depth and the price. Three and a half times the Math problems, full-length adaptive tests you can retake on fresh versions, and a tutor solving every problem on video the fast way, usually in Desmos. At $49 it costs about half as much for the section it covers.

What Sigma Prep does not do

Reading and Writing, for now. It is in the works and not available yet. Written rationales in the UWorld style; ours are videos. Official College Board questions; every problem is our own variation of an official type, so the originals in Bluebook stay clean for measurement.

Who should use which

  • Both sections need work and you want one tool: UWorld, plus the free Bluebook tests.
  • Math is the section holding your total down: Sigma Prep. Take a free test first and see whether the miss list is what you expected.
  • Budget under $50 a month: Sigma Prep for Math, Khan Academy for Reading and Writing, both Bluebook and Khan free.

Common Questions

UWorld covers both sections with about 2,000 questions and written explanations at roughly $99 a month. Sigma Prep is Math only, $49 a month, with 7,000+ Math problems, a video on every one, and 24 full-length Math tests. For Math specifically, Sigma Prep has more volume and video; for Reading and Writing, UWorld has material and Sigma Prep does not.

As of September 2026, UWorld's SAT subscriptions start around $99 for a month and come down per month on longer plans, according to their site and review coverage. Check their pricing page before buying.

UWorld is organized as a question bank with a Bluebook-style interface. Sigma Prep is organized around 24 full-length adaptive Math tests plus a bank, and gives a 200 to 800 estimate after each test.
