Khan Academy is free, official, and the right place to start. Students look for a Khan Academy alternative for SAT Math for three reasons: they have run out of material, they want a walkthrough on the problems they miss instead of a written answer, or they want to learn the built-in Desmos calculator, which Khan barely touches. Here are seven options, with what each is for and its listed price as of September 2026. Prices change; check before you buy.

Sigma Prep is ours. It is on the list where it belongs, not first.

1. Bluebook (College Board)

Free. Eight official full-length tests with real scoring, both sections. Not a teaching tool, but the only accurate measurement there is. Use it before anything paid.

2. College Board Question Bank

Free. The official question bank: real College Board questions for both sections, filtered by domain, skill and difficulty, each with College Board's own rationale. Not adaptive, no video, and you grade yourself, but it is the largest set of real questions there is. Use it when the Bluebook tests are gone and you want more official material.

3. Sigma Prep

$49 a month, first test and diagnostic free. Math only. 7,000+ problems by skill and difficulty, 24 full-length adaptive Math tests, a video on every problem, and practice sets built from your misses. Best for a student whose Math score is stuck after Khan and who learns from watching a problem solved. 14-day money-back guarantee, any reason. Reading and Writing is in the works, not available yet.

4. College Panda's SAT Math

A book, priced like one. The most recommended SAT Math book on student forums, with clear topic chapters and practice sets. Best for a student who wants paper and a linear course through the content. No video, no adaptive tests, and nothing checks your work; you grade yourself from the answer key. If what you want from a book is the formulas, Sigma Prep's formula book is free: 24 formulas, a real SAT question solved next to each, and every page linked to practice in the app.

5. Princeton Review Self-Led

$299 for a year. Nine full-length tests, video lessons, and written explanations, both sections. Best for a student who wants a structured course without live classes.

6. Kaplan On Demand

About $200. Video lessons, a question bank and four full-length tests. Best for a student who wants a brand-name course at the low end of the price range.

7. PrepScholar Complete

$397. A self-paced online course with written explanations and a 160-point score guarantee. The guarantee has strings, from their terms: pass every assigned lesson and practice test, have an official SAT or PSAT score from the last four years as your baseline, take an official SAT within 60 days of finishing, have College Board mail your full score history to their office, claim within 360 days of paying, and one refund per household. Best for a student who will finish a whole course and wants a points promise attached.

Common Questions

It depends on what Khan is missing for you. For official tests, Bluebook. For volume by skill and a video on every miss, Sigma Prep. For more official questions by skill, the College Board Question Bank, free. For a book, College Panda's SAT Math. The list below gives the price and the fit for each.

Bluebook, College Board's app with 8 official full-length tests, is free and is the single most important resource for any student. Sigma Prep's diagnostic and first full-length Math test are free without a card.

Usually one of three reasons: they finished Khan and Bluebook and need fresh material, they want a walkthrough on each problem they miss rather than a written answer, or they want Desmos strategy, which Khan barely covers.
