A free IXL alternative for printable math worksheets
Short answer: IXL is a paid online practice program, and it does not print worksheets. If you want printable math worksheets with answer keys, this generator is free, needs no account, and covers 541 topics from Pre-Algebra to Calculus and Statistics. If you want students practicing on screens with automatic grading, IXL is built for that and this is not.

When IXL is the better choice
- Students on devices. IXL grades as students work and adapts the next question. These worksheets are paper.
- Younger grades and other subjects. IXL starts at Pre-K and covers English, science and more. We start at Pre-Algebra and do math only.
- Progress data. IXL tracks every student over time. A printed sheet does not.
When you want paper
- A warm-up, a quiz, a sub plan or a no-devices day. Print a sheet in the minute before class.
- A different version for every class period. Each print has new questions of the same kinds, numbered so you can match it to its key.
- Differentiation. Three levels per topic and your choice of question types, so one class can get three sheets on the same skill.
- No cost and no logins. Nothing for a school to buy and nothing for students to sign in to.
